Chouteau has two Stream Teams in the Missouri River basin, One (#397) which monitors Gans Creek in Boone County from 163 East through the Gans Wild Area, and another (#1154) which monitors Hunter's and Spring Cave Streams (Draining to Bass and Turkey Creeks) in the Three Creeks Conservation Area in Boone County. Primary activities include water quality monitoring, bioinventories, and litter pickup. Trips are scheduled periodically as needed, and at least four times a year. Chouteau has been working cooperatively with the MOKEG research project scientists in Hunter's Cave, who are also studying water quality in the cave stream.
